Get Vanessa's Style!

Vanessa Hudgens is not only known for her acting in movies such as 'High School Musical', 'Journey 2' and her latest 'Spring Breakers', but she is also a fashion icon. I have noticed that Hudgens is always up to date with the latest trends and I think it's safe to say that she can pull off any look!

The outfit Vanessa is wearing in the picture to the left really brings out her summer tan and looks very classy.

To make this look yours, all you need is a pair of white or off-white trousers. Vanessa's trousers are high waisted and tailored. The look you want to go for is very sophisticated so try to avoid very tight fitting pants.

Next, you need a long sleeved white lace top. You can find an affordable top from shops including Forever 21 and H&M. A pair of beige / tan shoes is also what you need to pull off this look. You can either wear beige heels or even flip flops for a summery feel.

Vanessa wears a cute black bag and trust me, you can't go wrong with a black handbag! It literally can go well with any outfit, and you can buy yours online now at www.shoplovestruck.com. Plus it is only $62.90 for the Studded Faux Leather Tote.

To finish off this look, you need a silver nail varnish (O.P.I is a well-known brand), a soft pink MAC lipgloss, and finally a silver or grey ring!

Comment below if you like this look, and would you wear it yourself?

LS Tip #111 What's Your Skin Telling You?

When we don't do what we should and don't take care of our bodies as we ought to, our skin will be the first one to tell us. Our skin communicates with us through pigmentation problems, acne, and other issues that are more than likely resulting from something happening deeper on the inside. Skin mapping is a technique that has been used for years in the Chinese culture. So, if you are noticing recurring issues in specific areas, take a closer look at what it could be resulting from:

  • 1&2: Digestive System - Eat less processed or junk food. Reduce the amount of fat in your diet. Step up water intake and opt for cooling things like cucumbers.
  • 3: Liver - Cut out the alcohol, greasy food and dairy. This is the zone where food allergies also show up first, so take a look at your ingredients. Besides all this, do 30 minutes of light exercise every day ad get adequate sleep so your liver can rest.
  • 4&5: Kidneys - Anything around the eyes (including dark circles) point to dehydration. Drink up!
  • 6: Heat - Check your blood pressure and Vitamin B levels. Decrease the intake of spicy or pungent food. Cut down on meat and get more fresh air. Besides this, look into ways to lower your cholesterol, like replacing "bad fats" with "good fats" such as Omegas 3 and 6 found in nuts, avocados, fish and flax seed. Also, since this area is chock-full of dilated pores, check that your makeup is not past its expiry date or is skin-clogging.
  • 7&8: Kidneys - Again, drink up! And cut down on aerated drinks, coffee and alcohol as these will cause further dehydration.
  • 9&10: Respiratory system - Do you smoke? Have allergies? This is your problem area for both. If neither of these is the issue, don't let your body overheat, eat more cooling foods, cut down on sugar and get more fresh air. Also keep the body more alkaline by avoiding foods that make the body acidic (meat, dairy, alcohol, caffeine, sugar) and adding more alkalizing foods like green veggies and wheatgrass juice. Another thing that most of us forget, dirty cell phones and pillow cases are two of the top acne culprits and this area is what they affect the most!
  • 11&12: Hormones - This is the signature zone for stress and hormonal changes. While both are sometimes unavoidable, you can decrease their effect by getting adequate sleep, drinking enough water, eating leafy veggies and keeping skin scrupulously clean. Another interesting point: breakouts in this area indicate when you are ovulating (and on which side).
  • 13: Stomach - Step up the fiber intake, reduce the toxin overload and drink herbal teas to help with digestion.
  • 14: Illness - Zits here can be a sign that your body is fighting bacteria to avoid illness. Give it a break, take a yoga class, take a nap, take time to breathe deeply, drink plenty of water and know that everything always works out!
